Betty Allison

Betty Boggs Allison, 85, widow of Robert K. Allison, Jr., died Friday October 24, 2008 at her home on Clarks Run Road. She was born on August 25, 1923 in Bristol Virginia, the daughter of the late Robert Morris and Lillian Gose Boggs. She was a graduate of Virginia Intermont College in Bristol. Mrs. Allison is survived by one son, Robert Keith Allison, III of Maysville, one grandson Robert K. Allison IV (Tiffany) of Maysville and a granddaughter, Rebecca C. Allison of Lexington and also a great-grand daughter Abbi Allison. Graveside services for Betty Allison will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 2:30 PM at the Washington Baptist Cemetery with Rev. E. B. Hillenmeyer officiating. There will be no visitation. Honorary pallbearers will be her loyal caregivers, Beulah Mers, Kay Burton, Janice Sauer, Edith Swanger, Kim Applegate and Sandy Gulley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Buffalo Trace, PO Box 758, Maysville, KY 41056 or to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Road, Maysville, KY 41056.
