Chocolate Festival Parade

Ponto Says-

One of the great things about living in Maysville is the way the community interacts with parades. I think I have been to just about all of them. Including the Asparagus parade in Mayslick.

Last year I decided to ride in the Veteran's Day Parade. It was the first time I was on the "inside looking out". I must say, it was a great experience.

The 2008 season kicks off with the Chocolate Festival Parade. Maybe this will be your first time to actually be "in the parade"!

Washington, Kentucky is inviting you, to participate in the parade at the 21st Chocolate Festival in Washington.

Lineup at 2:30 p.m. with parade through Old Washington at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 20th..

Elaine Haughaboo, parade coordinator, is asking participants to enter at the north end of Washington at the Bingo lot.

You can join the Chocolate Festival Contestants, City and State Officials, Vehicles, Horses, Cars, Trucks, Decorated Bicycles, Motorcycles, Dirt Bikes, Decorated Golf Carts, Tractors, Fire Engines, Pets in costume or without, Church groups, Clubs, Scouts, Homemakers and floats. This is an excellent way to promote your business or group free of charge.

Also, Vendor setups welcome with each setup to have some chocolate if possible in their booth whether Food, antique, craft or other.

E-mail: or Call 606-759-0505. Other info. or call Phyllis Helphenstine 606-759-7423.
