What is the 30 Second Skip?

Anyone with the Motorola DCT6412 III knows about the Fast Forward opinion and we also know why we use it.

The 30 Second skip will allow you to push a single button on your remote control and jump 30 seconds ahead in recorded shows.

To say the least this feature is awesome and speeds up the process of fast forwarding to your favorite parts.

This works with the UEI Remote. You can find this stamp on the back of your remote.

Here is what you do;

1. Press the 'Cable’ button at the top of the remote.

2. Press and hold the 'Setup’ button until the 'Cable’ button blinks twice.

3. Type in the code 994. (The 'Cable’ button again blinks twice.)

4. Hit (Do Not Hold) the 'Setup’ button

5. Enter in 173 (Activation code for 30 second Skip)

6. Press any button you want "30 Second Skip? I use the letter "A" button. It works great.

You are done.

You made no programing changes to your DVR. You only activating existing software codes that your DVR comes with.
