Betty Zweigart Henson
Aberdeen – Betty Zweigart Henson departed from this life on December 5, 2009 at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center while in the presence of her family and loved ones.
Mrs. Henson was born September 18, 1934 in Aberdeen, Ohio to the late Thomas F. and Bess Bowers Zweigart. She was a 1952 graduate of Aberdeen Huntington High School. She furthered her education at Georgetown College and St. Joseph Nazareth School of Nursing. She was devoted to her church, the Aberdeen Baptist Church, where she served as pianist and organist. She taught various Sunday School Classes and Vacation Bible School for over 60 years and was active in mission programs.
Mrs. Henson was preceded in death by her parents Bess B. and Thomas F. Zweigart; her sister Juanita Zweigart Hargett Lee; and brothers T.F. Zweigart, Jr. and Gordon B. Zweigart.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Darrell C. Henson; three sons, Dr. Timothy Henson of San Antonio, Texas, Jeff Henson of Aberdeen, and Robert Henson of Fort Worth, Texas; and two daughters Lori Henson of Cincinnati and Mindi Henson (Corey) Wright of Aberdeen. She was a loving grandmother to Danny Henson, Tyler Henson, Shea Henson, Max Henson, Haley Wright, Madison Wright, and Cole Wright.
A light from our household is gone. The voice we loved is stilled. A place is vacant in our heart that can never be filled.
Funeral Services for Betty Henson will be held on at the Aberdeen Baptist Church Wednesday December 9, 2009 at 1 p.m with Rev. Phillip Huffman and Rev. Larry Polston officiating. Burial will follow at Charter Oak Cemetery in Aberdeen.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 8 p.m. on December 8, at the Brell & Son Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Henson’s memory may be made to Hospice of Hope, Aberdeen Baptist Church Sign Project, or the Greater Cincinnati Alzheimer’s Association.

My sincere sympathy to the Henson family. Betty was a fine Christian woman whom I greatly respected. She and her husband, Darrell were great examples of living a Christian life and always being kind and decent to their fellow human beings. Betty will be missed by, not only her family, but by the community.

Darrell and family,
I am so sorry for your loss, I know the last months have been hard. Betty was one special lady and one that I admired very much. You have always been in my prayers. Betty's presence in this community will be missed. May your faith help you through these trying times. I will always be available if there is anything I can possibly do to help.

Myself and a few other had the honor of singing Christmas carols to Mrs. Henson the day she passed away. I consider it a blessing to have seen and felt the love that was in that room in the last few hours of her life. I'm sure she is singing her own carols in Heaven today. God has added another Angel to his chior. My condolences to the family. Nanette Crager
