Mary Ethel Campbell
Mary Ethel Hord Campbell, 81, resident of Mason Pointe Drive, died Monday at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Campbell was born in Fleming County on July 18, 1929, the daughter of the late Wade Hampton and Lovell Sowards Hord. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Mason County Homemakers Mailbox Club, Daughters of the American Revolution and the respected owner and operator of Myles Brown Jewelry and Gifts and known throughout the community for her grace, style, and kindness. Her survivors include her son Steve G. Campbell of Salvisa, two sisters Virginia Nuss of Maysville and Edna Reeder of Tollesboro and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband Dewey Campbell who died on March 11, 1999, 4 brothers Roy, Woodrow, Willard, William S. Hord and 3 sisters Pauline Bierlin, Kathleen Berry, and Rosa Ryan. Services for Mary Ethel Campbell wil be Saturday, July 24 at 1:00 P.M. at the First Christian Church with Rev. Gyn Lesher officiating. Burial will be in the Shannon Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve dearinger, Jerry Qualls, Jim Nuss, Steve Hord, John McCormick, and Larry Dillon. Honorary bearers are Cliff Campbell, Stanley Campbell, C. Wayne Barnett, and Robert Zweigart.
