More than likely mom and dad are going to be mad at me for doing this.
But, I am scared and I do not now what to do.
Sometime, between 8 and 9 this morning. My dad, Ron Dickson, had a hart attack.
He has been taken to University of Cincinnati.
That all I know.

July 26, 2008
We went to see dad at UC.
He good.

Okay, dad is back home.
He had two stints put into is hart.
Dad is also on 7 pills.
And, were going to go make him better some how.

I'm glad to hear that he is doing better. It's time for him to slow down. He's been working hard for years. Take care of each other.
I lost my dad many years ago, and I think back--if only they knew then what they know now--maybe we'd still have him with us.

We went through the same thing a few years ago with my dad, he doing fine. Had a man that worked for me had the same thing at 50 he is know 63, retired and doing great. I have a man working for me know that just had it done and he is back to work , seems good. I'am sure not a Dr. but if you don't die or have major hart damage with the attack and you do what they say after the stints, then you (he) should be good to go.

Our thoughts & prayers go out for your family. I hope your Dad takes care of himself or your Mom makes sure he does all the right things. You know the heart diet--if it tastes good, spit it out. Hope all goes well & he SLOWS down too.

As you know, your dad was my smoking buddy at more meetings than I care to count. I have stopped smoking so tell him I hope he gets well soon. Neither one of us should ever light up again..........
PM me when you all are having visitors.............

Magees, I am glad your dad is out of the hospital and doing better. I remember him as Sue's older brother when he worked for the newspaper.

I had triple bypass in April 1996. Still here after all these years. There is much hope to look forward to

Wishing for the best! Mother had a stint after her heart attack. She's been doing well all these 4 years, and quit smoking too.

I'm sure your father will do fine. Just be sure to do plenty of TLC with him, and keep him working (gently)

Sorry to hear about Ron. Your parents are lovely people and I'm sure he'll do the right thing and take extra care of himself. The stint is an amazing thing now days, I know numberous people who have had them and are doing great, just some changes in life style. I'll stop by and see them in a couple weeks. I believe in prayer and the fine folks here will certainly send them up for your family. It's okay to let people know when a crisis happens, you can get lots of support from people here. Take care and God bless. Laura
