Common sense on the decline, Ignorance UP

I am constantly amazed and sometimes totally ticked off by the ignorance of people.
Yes I rent to many people and most are good decent people. However, I have people who don't pay their rent and to my surprise, they will list me as a reference to other landlords or rental companies. What is up with that. I am not going to lie to anyone, even if it means I can get them out of my place sooner.
I think common sense is a thing of the past for many.

Maybe they do so out of a sense of obligation; you list your current or last employer even when you know they would only recommend you for deportation to another galaxy:)

It used to be people mostly had common sence then wa had people that had common sence with book sence then we had people with mostly only book sence and now we mostly have only people with the sence they get from the news or tabloids and those are being written and made by people with no sence.
