Instead of winning a $1 prize for a $1 scratch-off ticket, you will get a free ticket.

The lottery also will lower the risk of big losses from its Pick 3 and Pick 4 drawings by reducing the number of people who can play the same numerical combination.

The lottery has found that a handful of times each year, an especially popular combination will be drawn to win, resulting in prizes that exceed sales.

The lottery will let 25 staff members go.

The lottery's Bowling Green regional office will close.

The lottery also will slightly reduce incentive payments to retailers with high sales.

That tells me not everyone is as unlucky as me playing the lottery. I could pick every combination known to man in the Pick 3 except for one and the one I didn't buy would be the combination that would hit!

............scratch off tickets are a ripoff.

They are a waste of time. You may win $5.00 here & there, but you don't realize that's just a bait tactic to keep you playing. The state already knows how much money will be paid out from every roll of new tickets the store receives.

Sorry, I give to the state every other Friday in taxes till it hurts. I certainly won't donate more $$ to them just because of the long odds messing with the lottery..........see ya mark

The odds are against you in the lottery or in life, but just the chance or possibility to get ahead keeps us plugging along.

I have won more than $5 buck on a scratch off. Didn't hurt my feelings. LOL
