Kentucky lawmakers have approved a bill aimed at protecting students from being bullied by classmates, but stopped short of protecting BBS members.
A version passed the Senate and House by wide margins late Wednesday night. The bill now goes to Gov. Steve Beshear.
The measure would include student behavior that causes physical harm, intimidation or humiliation for fellow students.
A provision would allow schools to protect children against cyber-bullying.
