Wheels and tires stolen

Last night someone broke into a car that was for sale and stole the wheels (with tires) that were in the back. They were the original wheels and they were there so if someone where to buy the car and restore it, they would have the wheels. I have found out today that there was a another car, another mustang that had it's wheels stolen also. My first thought was that they were stolen to be sold as scrap. Now I'm wondering if they are being sold to someone who restores cars. If you know of anyone who restores mustangs, would you make them aware and have them call the MPD if anyone tries to sell them wheels.

Had a report this weekend of someone carrying wheels down the tracks near Commerce. Are you sure it happened last night?

What year Mustang are the wheels off from. Are they aluminum or steel wheels?? roadrunner

i had someone over the weekend steal about 200 gal. of diesel fuel from my truck at ryan's farm supply.cost about $800.00.it's only gonna get worse.

Roadrunner, they were off a 1984 model and they were aluminum. If anyone has any info, I'd sure appreciate it if you pass it on. About a week prior someone pryed (sp?)open the gas door and siphoned out what little gas was in it.

kybikertrash, The wheels being aluminum I would check with all the local salvage/recycling companys. Maybe they will let you know if some brings in aluminum wheels. I think aluminum is selling high now. roadrunner

Thanks, I've called Butler's, Daniels and the Mason County recycling ctr. and let them know they had been stolen. They told me they would let me know if anyone came in with wheels that fit the description.
