Unless you have not watched T.V. in a week I'm sure you've heard about Eliot Spitzer. I'd like to introduce you to the real victims in this mess. Meet Silda Wall Spitzer and her 3 teenage daughters ages 17, 15 and 13. I cropped the JERK out of the picture.

Pray for them

This is a very sad situation. I don't understand why men in these high positions would risk it all for a night of fun. I also don't get why the media is stalking the girl (prostitute), and it's almost like they are laying the blame on her. Sure, she did wrong, but she's not the one who was the Governor. This is just what happens to women who were sexually abused as children, and thrown out in the world with nothing. I hope she can get her life together now, and she seems to be a very talented singer. I also hope this man's family can get past this, because it must be heartbreaking.

Word now is that it was much more than a night of fun. He spend $ 80,000 over at least a six year period. The young lady in question is 22 years of age. Just 5 years older than his oldest daughter. There aren't enough negative adjectives to describe Spitzer's behavior. Pathetic, stupid, arrogant are a few that come to mind.

And if that ain't bad enough, Dr. Laura is in trouble for saying it might be the womans fault for not giving enough attention to their husbands. If you don't submit, you must acquit.

What did the guy expect to happen. Before he was a Gov. he had a reputation for prosicuting prostitution rings. What an Idiot.

The usual suspects, the liberal media and a few pundits, are making excuses for this puke. They want to portray prostitution as a "victimless crime". Tell that to the young girls who are thrown into drugs, STDs, and end up dead or on the streets. Spitzer is just an arrogant creep with too much money and way too much power. One can only hope the Feds do prosecute him and he ends up in a Fed. prison. His wife actually did not want him to resign.

His wife actually did not want him to resign.

Of course she wouldn't.

Remember......I've said this before........
one must follow the money trail with her too.

Actually, I'm surprised he lasted this long in office.
If here were a Republican & did this......well.......we all know what would have happened then.......

Not sure??
Just ask Bob Packwood............see ya mark

At least he's heterosexual and not homosexual. The Pub's got a free ride on that cause of the liberal and forgiving press.

Bob Packwood,,, can't remember who that was. Save me the time looking it up an tell me. lol

Oh, gosh, Chuck, Bob Packwood was a very influential Reblican senator from Oregon or someplace. Kind of liberal for a Republican. He would put the move on women and force a kiss on them.

It turned out the way he kept them from getting away was he stepped on their toes!

Other than some unwanted advances, he was pretty clean, but he had to go.

Really this is why I stay un-bias and flip-flop. I don't subscribe to the rule that good people have to go because of a moral slip. Dem or Pub.

That is what defines me to many as a democrat when really just support the person.

Six years of it is no slip up. It's an established degradation of moral values. But noone seems to care about that anymore. Politicians get away with it more and more. Especially a Dems, especially since Wild Willy got away with it.

And it always seems to be just the men that get caught and put through the ringer. Never seems to be a woman.

spitzer is just a classic example of hubris. Arrogant, unscrupulous as a prosecutor, mean spirited to people who would dare to disagree with him. If a number of people in NY had spoken up for him or even defended him, he probably would not have resigned. Now I read that the state police are being investigated by their Internal Affairs people for their part in his meetings with the hooker. Too bad for these guys, just doing as ordered by the gov., reminds me of bill clinton's troopergate scandal. Only in their case, they were the ones branded as liars.

I really dont see the big deal here other than the fact that he acted like he was so against prostitution while sneaking around getting him some. Prostitution has been around since the beggining of time it will be here till the end of time. If he was smart he would have taken a few buisness trips to nevada where he wouldn't have gotten in trouble for it.

Men cheat because they can. Even the Bible gives the right to divorce over adultry. Sure we as women need to tend to our men sometimes, but it also goes both ways. Men seek sex outside the marriage, and women seek emotional connections. The best thing I've ever read concerning this matter is the book about the 5 Love Languages. Look it up, very interesting, and very true!

Bill Clinton was impeached. He did not get away with anything. Is a firing squad required to satisfy you lust. Adultery is not a crime.

I got to agree he should have went to Nevada.
