Just curious if anyones children were dropped off Friday when school let out early at the end of the road they lived on, due to the buses not able to travel them..I neices live on Bridgeport Road and were dropped off there, and so were a couple others. I know this would be dangerous for the buses and the children, but come on...to let these children off at the end of the road and have them walk home..what about someone who would want to give them a ride that was not a nice person, or what about the children walking and a car slide on the slick roads and hit them....Just curious if anybody's children were dropped off somewhere other than there home..And why did Mason County have School anyway, they knew this was coming...we were under WARNINGS!

I would have been angry too! This is why there should be a way for the school to notify parents ahead of time if they need to do something like this. Same thing like when last week the bus could not pick up the kids on our road due to high water at the ends of our road. My son waited for a long time, and we had no clue what was going on until I called the school myself. Maybe the bus drivers need to have cell phones to contact parents on their own in these cases.
