This from the Lexington Herald

A winter storm watch was in effect for a stretch of Kentucky along the Ohio River.

Forecasters predicted about 4 inches of snow in the Louisville area, starting early Friday.

"It really won't get heavy until probably rush hour," said Mike Callahan, a weather service hydrologist in Louisville.

The state's northernmost counties near Cincinnati were lumped with parts of southern Ohio and Indiana that forecasters said could get 5 to 10 inches of snow Friday and Saturday. Kentucky counties are expected to be on the low end of the prediction, said weather service meteorologist Andy Hatzos in Wilmington, Ohio.

The Lexington area could receive 2 to 3 inches of snow and sleet Friday night, and the Bowling Green region could get 1 to 2 inches of the wintry mix, Callahan said.

I agree. One snow storm that cripples the area for 3-4 days then it melts away and Boom -- Spring is here!

Bring it on! When someone says 'get a horse' I'll say, "it's the only thing that can move in this weather!" :)

Come on, old-man (winter)! Is that the BEST you can do? Why in my day (76, 77) I had to walk to school 6 miles in 3' of snow - both ways! Up hill! And I liked it!

Ok, maybe I was exaggerating...about liking it :)

OH NOOoooooo
More snow? Run in circles, throw hands in the air. Wait ... hide under the bed.

Of course do this AFTER cleaning the local grocery of milk and bread.

You know you won't get out for......... days? hours? weeks?

Gotta go, Kroger here I come!! And I don't even like milk, but gotta get it.

For the record this Winter is not an old man..lol (Winter is my real name) I hear what you're all saying, I would LOVE for Spring to get here! I love to open the windows and let the house breathe. I don't want Summer though, hot weather + pregnancy do not mix well! LOL

My hubby is heading to the gun show in Lexington Saturday, so hopefully it won't get too bad down that way.

Well, Maysville is between Cincy & Lexinton & that whole area is expecting 6-12 inches of snow. Lexington is under a Snow Emergency. My husband is still determined to go to the gun show there tomorrow though!

This storm is a blessing. I have been so tired of hearing about Clinton and Obama. At least all the local news channels are talking about weather instead of these two.

We have about 2.5 inches here on the outskirts of Aberdeen. It's still snowing though, and they said there's another round coming our way from Louisville. It should all be over by this evening. That thunder & lightning last night scared the crap outta me, thought we were being bombed or something..haha Never experienced that in a snow storm before. Pretty amazing!
