I think Wayne Muse does an excelent job.

Also just to let you know if you want to get severe weather updates you can go to www.weather.com and get severe weather alerts sent to your cell phone, its either free or very inexpensive I cant remember seeing a bill for it. The alerts are just as quick and sometimes quicker then a weather radio. Also I think they will send you a call to your house phone as well but cant remember its been a while since I subcribed to it.

I just checked on weather.com and it is free alerts to your mobile phone
https://registration.weather.com/ursa/alerts/step1?from=svralrtpg&initAlerts=SVR

I dont think they give your number to anyone else but not for shure I know I have had alerts for over a year now and havent had any tella marketers calling me or sending me messages.

It sounds alot like the VINE network for victims of violent crimes, it calls you when the offender is released from jail. If you don't answer, it keeps calling.
I hope we get this here, maybe the schools could link to it and notify through email or text message or something when school is closed. Heck the Mason County Community College sends mass emails when they close or have a delay....all students get the emails.
