$100,000 a year for new cancer drug and it does not increase how long you will live.

What is up with our government. Should we follow Mark's money trail?

A drug made by a company called Genentech received FDA approval on Friday for a new cancer drug.

The approval went against the recommendation of the FDA advisory panel

Also a panel of outside FDA advisers voted against the drug and said it had toxic side effects.

Genentech said that the drug did not increase life expectancy.

It is an injectable drug, which cost $100,000 for a year's supply.

I get that all the time with my Fibromylgia. People tell me that there is a new drug out that will cure fibro and stuff. Oh please. If drugs worked then why do we still have people suffering with all types of arthitis everyday. Just another gimmick to steal people's hard earned money!!! Jmo here.

I think instead of congress having a hearing on baseball and steroids they should investigate the FDA. Not just because of this drug but lots of fishy thing surrounding the FDA in the past few years. I think the drug companies are running the FDA.
And on a side not what is up with all of these prescription drug commercials lately???
And why should you be asking your doctor to put you on them when if they are a doctor they should know what to prescribe you depending on your symptoms?
