Hello all,

I have recently moved to Toronto from Victoria BC. In Victoria I was with Shaw and used a DCT6412 HDPVR. Now that I'm in Toronto, I realize that Shaw does not operate out here, and Rogers uses a different make of PVR. I was wondering if anyone knows a hack or modification (hardware mods ok too) that I can use to make my Motorola box work on the Rogers system?

If not, does anyone want to buy a Motorola DCT6412 III HS PVR? It's in perfect condition.

The Motorola Series DVR's are provisioned by equipment found at the head end of you current cable system. If the system you are on does not support the DVR then I am not sure what to tell you.

We are not a hack or crack site which means our information or support is limited to the serviceability of these units out of the box. We would only be familiar with the DVR's that are carried by our local Cable Provider.

You have probably heard this before but ebay is the place I would recommend to find the other DVR you mentioned.

I have had a DCT6412iii and UEI remote (Atlas 1055) for a couple of months and all has been working well. I even figured out how to set the 30 second skip.

A couple of days ago the remote became messed up. I have been able to get a few buttons back but several still don't function, such as the instant replay, List, Live, A as 30 second skip. I tried your setup instruction again for the 30 second skip and it did not work.

I called the cable company and they said to bring the remote in and they will replace it.

Any ideas?
