Aberdeen – Carl E. Nickell, Jr., 57, died Monday November 5, 2007 at his residence after a long illness.

Mr. Nickell was born March 16, 1950 in Morehead to the late Carl and Velma Underwood Nickell. He was employed as a truck driver for Aberdeen Express until he became disabled, was a Vietnam Veteran and a life long member of the VFW. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones and his buddies at the Dairy Yum Yum and Margie’s Southern Cafe.

Survivors include his wife Karen Boling Nickell; 3 children, Angela Lally of Lexington, David Nickell of Maysville, and Carla (Dan) Hamilton of Russellville; two sisters, Nancy (Charlie) Adamson, Joyce (Bill) Young, and one brother Billy (Tena) Nickell, all of West Union; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services for Carl E. Nickell will be held Thursday November 8, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Brell & Son Funeral Home with Rev Johnny Jones officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Charter Oak Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

you will always be remembered as laughing and being a happy person. i still remember you and my dad always talking around the table at the dairy yum yum. and just having good old fashioned clean fun. i was sorry to hear you passed. GOD bless you now and your dear wife karen.
