I'm pregnant! Anyone know if there's any OB/MIDWIVES nearby?

I just got the news that I'm pregnant, and due June 24th! This makes baby #3 for me. I was just wondering if anyone knew if there's any Midwives in the area? My son was delivered by an OB/Midwife at Anderson Mercy, but she is not there anymore. Plus now that I live in Aberdeen I don't want to risk driving all the way to Anderson! I had my daughter at Brown Co. Hospital, and that's probably where I will have this one, unless I can find a midwife. (That delivers in a hospital)

It just seemed to be a more intimate relationship with the Midwife, because I wasn't passed around from doctor to doctor, whoever was on duty like Brown Co. & Maysville does!

Congratulations! May you & baby both be healthy. Will keep you in my prayers. Good luck finding a midwife. Even though it's been nearly 22 years since my 'baby', I hated seeing a different doctor every time.

Try Morehead...there were some there at one time.

Yes, there are midwives at Morehead and they deliver at St. Claire. Congrats.

Congrats on the new bundle of joy and best of luck. As for the midwives when I was working at Brown County Hospital there was one of the OB nurses who was in school to be a midwife you may want to call over there and ask for the OB dept and see what they say.
