I was driving down our backroads the other day and I happened to pass two houses that had those signs saying "It's a Boy/or It's a Girl." You know the one's, when someone has just had a new baby.
Well, I got to thinking about how ecstatically happy us horse owners are when we have a nice, healthy "baby" also, lol. I was wanting your opinion if you would buy one to put outside your farm/house when your mare/sire has a young one? I might just start making them if there seems to be enough interest. Here is what I was going to draw on them:
Instead of a stork, have a Pegasus bringing the colt/filly in a diaper. I would put in blue, It's a Colt, and in Pink, it's a Filly. Maybe even do speciality colors if people wanted it to look like the real foal.
Down below, I was thinking of maybe having the "mom and Dad" looking up at the stork beside a barn. For those people who really like the bloodlines of the baby known, you know. Maybe even with the name of the mom and dad under them? Having Mom and Dad's heads leaning together like they are so happy to be getting their baby? Is that too much you think? LOL. Even do more speciality orders by painting the Mare and Sire just like they really look and even the Farm/Barn name if they have one??? maybe.
So my fellow horse lovers, what do you think? Would you buy one for your newborn? Do you think it would make enough money to buy supplies, at least? LOL. I would LOVE your all's input on this one.

Off topic, but how about one for cats? It would say "It's a bunch." Sorry, just had to say it.

I would think with the KY AQHA Incentive Fund kicking up that hiding the fact that you have a QH worth 2700 per AQHA point would be a good idea....

LOL, I'm sure we can make the sign fit the species.

I only wish I could draw well enough, Snowtiger. I'd make you a Gypsy Vanner pegasi for this :)

Someone else has Quarter Horses around here locally? Cool!! And I say YES to the signs announcing the birth & bloodlines. Of course that won't be until next year. Keep us updated about costs & such. My sister-in-law will be tickled.
