First, I would have put this in the classifieds but there was not an option for wanting farm animals, just selling. Second, I don't have a lot of time to catch the stockyard auctions. SO, I thought my big family here might be able to help me out on this one.
I've wanted a big draft horse since I was tiny. I love these gentle giants and it's pure torture to go by a field where they are at. SO, with this hay shortage coming up I was hoping someone might know someone who.....
First, I want a BIG one!! At LEAST 17 hands, larger would be EVEN better. I love the color black, but that is NOT a prerequisite. I don't care if they are registered, but I would like a PURE draft, if possible. WEll, if they are really big, that doesn't even really matter. I don't want to breed, I don't want to show, I just want to love them, look at them, and admire these wonderful beings.
Second, I cannot pay $1,000 a piece or anything over that for one, and we would like to buy two. I just thought I might as well make that clear so as to not waste anyone's time.
If anyone knows of any drafts that would be a good candidate, PLEASE notify me. PM me, email me, or whatever!!!! Geldings would be preferable, but is not a HAVE to. If we find one, I want to put him in with our little yearling Tennesse Stallion as a pasture mate also. We can't put Dark Angel with Cheyenne since she is a mare. Another thing, if they are 20 years old, I don't think I want that. I've had to go through putting one down and it almost killed me also. I would hate to have one for awhile then they have to die, I couldn't take that!!! I just can't do it again.
Now, my wonderful family, if you hear of any, please let me know and help me realize the dream I've had since I was a child... I'm sorry my wants seem so picky. All these "regulations" I've written are not set in stone either (except the cost) you know when you find the right horse that you are meant to be with, the rest doesn't matter. I'm just trying to help with some specifications. Thank you SO much in advance!!!!

OH SURE KC, lol. I'll just cash in the 401K, sell the farm and vehicles, and learn how to rob banks, lol. Sometimes I wish you and Foxy had never shown me those beautiful, majestic, babies. Just kidding, they take my breath away!!!! You know that even with this hay shortage there are NO Gys Vans going for any cheaper, and I LOOKED. I kind of knew that, but one can always hope. Hey, can you put up a picture of one on this thread for me please???? I just like to drool, lol.

Hey Snow! You know you are my girl, right! But I gotta tell ya, that putting a 2 stallions in a field together with a mare near by might not be what you want. If you are not breeding, defiantly geld them. They are less likely to get cancer if you geld them anyway.l But please don't put them in the same field.
If I hear anything I will let you know. I have worked with drafts before and they are a handful. And don't let someone lie to you and say that they don't know their size, cause when they need too, they know. If I can help just ask!

We have two draft stallions one black one brown black one has one white sock, and a star brown one has a star. I would love to get rid of them but not sure if the kids would. They are not broke, but will let ya touch them.
