Almost one year ago, Lizzie Palmer a fifteen year old girl posted a tribute to the military on You Tube. As of today (October 13, 2007), there has been over 17 million hits. It is an insightful, touching tribute to the men and women who make up the military. The site link is listed below:

..............WOW, that's an awesome video.

I hope it gets 300 million hits, meaning virtually everyone in the USA will see it. Sadly, I'm afraid due to the press & most libs, a lot of those soldiers will NOT come home to a hero's welcome because some of the public doesn't agree with military action.
The press rarely shows anything good going on over there but only focus on the bad. You have three soldiers get killed & it's all over the news, yet, if one more school opens up & kids has the opportunity to get back into school for an education.........well, you know the rest. That type of news is not going to get reported.

Why, you ask??

Simple.

It gives Bush some positive credit, something the press & dems doesn't want to happen, especially in an election year.
It also means that ill informed Americans are duped into believing everything over there is going wrong.

Those soldiers are all volunteers, realizing what they are getting themselves into before enlisting. With a 60-70% reinlistment rate, apparently some believe in what they are doing.

It would be nice to see some more patriotism, but, I don't see it happening until after Nov 2008.

If the dems win in '08 and with the press their side, the patriotism will definitely come alive again, even if it's fake...............see ya mark

You can support the troops even if you disagree with military action. I certainly do and have since day one. Most people do. After all, it's not the troops fault that the situation is so messed up -- and yes, it is messed up. What does it matter if a school opens when the entire country is unstable? That school is just as likely to close next year as it is to remain open. And why would the press report some fluffy propaganda story when some guy just died?

There's not a lack of patriotism in this country. There's a rightful lack of faith in our leadership. This apathy is completely focused solely on the jerks running the show, because they're the ones who have screwed up at every turn. It has nothing to do with the soldiers. The soldiers completely deserve a hero's welcome. If anything positive has been done, it has been done by them, in spite of the administration.

The soldiers deserve all the credit. Bush deserves none.

And whoever thought it'd be a great idea to privatize soldiery and hire Blackwater, they're a piece of work too. They pay these mercenaries tons of money when your average soldier makes barely any. Add injury to insult, a Colonel is now coming forward saying the mercenaries actually pulled guns on our own soldiers? What the?

They treat our soldiers like dirt. They're the ones who don't support the troops, and they were hired by this administration. This administration doesn't support our troops. They just use them. The bumper sitckers on the backs of cars need to be changed from "Support the Troops" to "Support the Troops and Protect Them From Washington".

The video was awesome.

Very well said Jeremy I have nothing to add.

Mark, I didn't see nothing positive or giving any credit to GWB or his administration in the video.

...........sorry Chuck, that's a poor explanation of what I was really trying to say.
Hey, it was confusing when I just reread it.

Please allow me to edit it:

Why, you ask??

Simple.

It would drive the press crazy to give Bush some positive credit, something the press & dems doesn't want to happen, especially in an election year.

I wasn't referring to the video. It's extremely well done..........see ya mark

Great Video!

Please explain to me why we should give any politician credit for anything at this point?
I'll give credit to whoever can get us out of this mess.

BTW, I support our troops....but not the war.
