The Local Humane Society meeting was held October 9, 2007, with nine people in attendance. This is a small number compared to the crowds that gathered in the early days of the organization.
What's up with the low participation?
Despite many offers by several people to build the organization a web site, they still do not have one according to reports. The Humane Society seems unable to move into the 21st century and acquire a web presence.
What’s up with no web site?
In other Humane Society news, they are starting a new membership drive with the following levels of membership: Student $10; Individual $25; Family $50 and Business $100.
What’s up with this new pay to play policy?
With all the successful fund raising and large sums of money being raised, some people think the Society would be taking larger steps to help more animals in the Buffalo Trace area.
What’s up with the building of a new facility?
A special meeting will be held Tuesday, October 30th at 6:30 pm in the Mason County Library to work on planning details for a pet adoption day and also for the Christmas parade.
The next regularly scheduled meeting for Friends of HSBT will be Tuesday, December 11th in the Mason County Public Library.
