In addition to all the visitors in town for the balloon race, Shockey Tours was in town Saturday for a tour.

Agritourism has become a major player in bringing visitors to our area and farms like the Herb Farm @ Strodes Run and others are going out of their way to make visitors welcome.

Shockey Tours Come to Maysville
August 18 Tour #270822

Description from the Shockey Web Site: (http://www.shockeytours.com/covered_bridges.htm)

With only thirteen covered bridges left in the state of Kentucky, the five-county area surrounding Maysville has eight of them. Our tour will visit three of the most popular and historic covered bridges. All of the bridges are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We enjoy a bountiful lunch at Sweet Annie’s Café, before our scheduled driving tour of Maysville, Kentucky, where we see points of interest including the Painted Murals and the Russell Theater before returning to our original departure locations.
