Hope it is used in the right manner and not runned by the wrong bunch of people. Lewisburg isnt very big but I am sure a community center would be nice and a nice income for the community. Then they would be able to rent it out for special events. Good luck with your project.

The Lewisburg Vol. Fire Dept. will be the ones running it. And as a member I hope we do a good job running it.
Its for the community and I hope they will use it as well. I hope they appreciate it as much as the members of the Fire Dept appreciate it.
I personally would like to thank everyone who made this happen. I know a lot of hard work went into it and still is going into it. I would like to thank Senator Borders, State Rep. Mike Denham, Judge Exec. Buddy Gallenstien, Deputy Judge Exec. Amy Asher Mason County Commissioners Bear Finn, Patrick McKay, Donald Tumey, Buffalo Trace Development, The Govenors Office, Anyone else who has worked on this project, and The good men and women of the Lewisburg Vol. Fire Dept.
Sincerly,
Brian K Beckett
I would also like to thank the good people of Lewisburg and surrounding areas that have supported the Fire Dept. in the past and hope you continue to support us in the future.
I would also like to ask everyone in the county or anywhere you live to PLEASE support you local volunteer Fire Depts. and firefighters/EMS The fire Depts. in Mason Co. operate on donations not tax dollars.with the exception of some grants that are to be used on specific things.
Volunteer Fire Fighters/EMS too often see and do things that no one should ever have to. And receive absolutely no pay for what we do. ( and not asking for any either)
I think we owe it to them to provide the best equipment that we can to keep them as safe as possible. So please support you local Fire Dept. and its members.
These are my views and not necessarily the views or opinions of anyone else but myself.

The Lewisburg Fire Department hosted their first public function in their new building this morning. Attending were the Mayor of Maysville, Rep. Mike Denham and other supporters of the Lewisburg Fire Department.
An early morning electrical transformer failure could not slow down the great breakfast prepared by the fire fighters and other volunteers. Plenty of food was available while the KU crews worked to restore power.
The facilities are 1st class and the community atmosphere was absolutely great as neighbors visited with each other. After a long winter, getting out and about made for a great gathering.
