New HD channels??

Anyone close to Limestone Cable know if there will be any additional HD channels added to the lineup any time soon? Would love to have FoxOhio in HD, it is in HD,just not in this area. With DirectTV adding over 100 HD channels this fall, will cable be able to compete in this area? Thanks for help.

Limestone Cable is aways looking to add HD Channels. I don't think I know the Fox Ohio Channel unless you are talking about Fox19 which is already a HD channel on cable.

I don't think the 100 HD channels by DTV has will be offered free with the basic package like Limestone cable does. Having "The Food Network" in HD does not excite me. In order to get "The Outdoor Channel" In HD it would cost adding the sports package to DTV which is another $20 bux on a DTV basic package.

Adding extra TV's with DTV is expensive too. Like $5 Bux a month. With cable it is running a line.

The math is easy. I am looking at $140 a month for DTV, for the same channels I get with cable it is about $90.

As far as which channels and When LC will add them, no one has any inside info.

FoxOhio I believe is channel 34, all of the Reds games are on there and the announcers are always talking about the games being broadcast in true HD,just not with Limestone Cable. Having the Food Network in HD doesn't excite me either,but having FX,USA and TBS in HD would.

Like I said above. Whatever they choose add they won't say till the day before they add them.
