USA Basketball has trimmed its roster for the upcoming Pan American Games to 14 players, and sharp-shooting University of Tennessee guard Chris Lofton was not among the survivors.
Lofton, was one of 18 players let go today as the U.S. roster was reduced from 32 candidates to 14 finalists. He was the 2007 SEC Player of the Year after leading the conference in scoring at 20.7 points per game and in 3-point baskets. Lofton also earned second-team All-America recognition from The Associated Press.
