Have you ever had someone honk their car horn and startle you when you were not expecting it? Some people find that really annoying.

Well, be warned, the same feeling occurs when you go to the Ledger website and pull up a page with the Maysville Ford Lincoln Mercury advertisement on the page. AUDIO

When will these advertisers learn that audio should be an option during an internet advertisement. Have a button to click to listen, don't just blast away thinking the consumer will be impressed.

STOP THE AUDIO - Caps are used because I am yelling. (for those of you don't know proper internet etiquette.)

And they wonder why people falling over themselves, to install ad-blocking software. Sound was one of the #1 reasons I use it, #2 (and what got me started) was those rapidly blinking 'you are a winner' ads. Ug!!

Want my business? Don't t me off

Chuck? I don't use blockers on the BBS, nor on the Maysville paper. The reason is, is simply because they're not overboard, in your face, annoying as heck. One site that just BEGS to have blocking software is www.space.com. My favorate topic, over-added to the extreme. Check out the site sometime and you'll see what I'm talking about.
