The UK College of Agriculture is teaming with its many partners to sponsor a unique symposium to examine future visions for Kentucky agriculture, rural communities, local markets and development of sustainable food systems.
The goal is to consider all aspects of Kentucky?s rural agricultural communities, including the economic, the environmental and the social.
They are bringing together journalists, poets, chefs, artists, environmentalists, agricultural economists and other educators from across the region and nation to further progress toward a new future for our state?s rural communities.
Discussions will address rural economies and agricultural sustainability, and will suggest solutions to help grow Kentucky.
The event will be held March 13 ? 14, 2006 in Lexington.
