Some Maysville teens are going to the The Annual March for Life, to mark the U.S. Supreme Court's 1973 decision to legalize abortion in the case of Roe v. Wade.

They'll spend the weekend attending rallies and Masses before marching up Constitution Avenue on Monday to the Capitol with thousands of others from across the nation.

A bus will leave Saturday with students from St. Patrick School.

In all, nearly 600 people from the surrounding area are going. About 525 will be students.

"When we started going in 1990 we had two buses and just a handful of kids," said the director of the Pro-Life Commission for the diocese. "Our young people have really taken the baton now and run with it."

Those on the bus trip will spend about 22 of the trip's 36 hours on a bus.

The forecast during the march is for 38 degrees with a mix of rain and snow.
