Ever since the electric light bulb was invented, a monthly newspaper called Grit (http://www.grit.com/)has been the source of helpful hints and happy stories for rural Americans.
For some of us, Ponto included, selling Grit door to door as youngster was second only to the lemonade stand for income at one point back in the late 50's.
"Grit" (http://www.grit.com/) is a reference both to the sometimes-grueling life on farms and in small towns, and to the resilience and resourcefulness of the people who live there.
Now, Grit (http://www.grit.com/) is modernizing its look and the way it portrays country living.
