4 Years ago Chris Lofton was just a house hold word in a small Kentucky town.
Only about 8,000 homes knew his name then. He has now grown to be a household word in hundreds of thousands if not millions of homes.
Chris has grown to be a true example of determination for kids in Mason County.
Maysville has been the start for a few athletes that have went pro and Chris appears to be the next in line.
Maysville is the home to a few sports related success stories.
Dustin Grutza Playing College Football.
Mark Blakefield had an amazing Golf Experience in Collage at UK and has gone on this year to start a his career in Professional Golf.
Tina Rigdon Hester has an excellent professional career in the fitness world and as well as a fitness model. Tina has made it to world wide recognition in the sports world.
Anyone know of any other sports success stories from Mason County?

Ronnie Lyons certainly comes to mind.
How about Allen Feldhaus and his sons Allen Jr., Willie and Deron(Unforgetable).
Chris O'hearn had an impressive basketball career at Georgetown College, and everyone knows what he's doing now.
Jay Gast scored over 2200 points at St. Pat and is on the University of Toledo's top-20 list in scoring.
Fannie Stahl was a standout at Xavier University.
Shannon Litton is currently an assistant coach for Florida Atlantic University's girls basketball team.
Kelly Middleton played both basketball and tennis (I think this is right) at Georgetown College.
Here's some more: Harry Lewis, Pat Moore, Jim Striplin, Kirby Bennett, Fred Walker, Jerry Butler, Noah Welte, Mike Case, Mark Turner.
Kevin Fulton, holds Maysville High School's "most rebounding opportunities missed", currently head men and womens tennis coach at Morehead State University.
Many, many more help me out!

Jay Gast shot a bunch of shots from outside the 3-point line before there was a three point line. That number (2200) would have been a lot higher than that these days.
Drew Beckett started playin b-ball for Northern and went on to play for Shawnee State.
