News stories in Kentucky are starting to report gas prices going up as the voting poles are closing.

Lexington prices went up 20 cents in the last 24 hours.

Kentucky gas prices are on the rise again, but with no real supply shortage, some voters are suspicious that something fishy is going on.

If one were to think politics, and gas prices are related, they may be correct.

It was amazing how low the prices got during the campaign leading up to the election. Some people actually thought it would last past Nov. 7th.

The Bush administration, many oil analysts and the industry's primary trade groups have dismissed the public skepticism as a conspiracy theory run amok.

I think we have been here before. Check out the thread "Lower Gas Prices Might Be Temporary", started by Chuck on October 2nd.

Some of the more conservative members of this sight seemed to think that there was no connection, but I couldn't help notice the price of gas going up yesterday.

With all the election coverage on the news yesterday maybe they missed a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico which would cause this increase in prices.

Wednesday, November 8, 2006

A drive by showed some of those prices as WRONG!!!

The place I refuel never gives me a price break for my credit card purchase.

Also their "Lowest Price" place markers show bias toward the 1st station in the list even when other station match that price.

I choose Ky Gas Prices dot com for my favorite site cause it support citizens to report prices not some robot grabber.

I think the prices will go much higher after Christmas. The White house will keep the prices low to fuel the shopping season. Makes stocks jump when the Christmas season is a good one. Look out in January! $3.00 a gallon. But think about it, the republican's can use that to blame the new Dem's in office.
