I just returned from voting and all went well in Lewisburg at the Hay and Produce Auction building. They have one old machine and one new machine.
Everyone was nice and some were surprised find out I still lived in Maysville.
Seems there was a rumor that I had moved out of the area.
That's what I love about Maysville, someone said it, someone believed it, someone repeated it, then it must be true..............................
Now, if you haven't voted........get up and go vote !
You may find out you are still alive.........lol

I voted in Lewisburg today. Waited to use the new machine, was curious to see what it was like. I thought it was user friendly.

I heard at college today that there was an article about how easy it is to hack into the new machines. I also heard that some member of the government owns wherever those new machines are being made. Sorry I don't have all the specifics. This was just quick talks in between classes. Wondering if anyone else had heard these rumours also.

I voted, and used the old machines. Even though I'm a high-tech user, I don't trust those new machines, until they use open-source software. No idea what I'll do when that's all they have. :\
Good luck to all the canidates!

Snowtiger:
I hear the same things, but no conformations. That's the problem, all the experts are saying. The source code (the instructions that tell the computer how to do what they do) is NOT open sourced, but closed. (Meaning only the company knows what the software accually does.) and that may be a danger. I hear also, many have no paper trails as well. So if something goes wrong, how can you fix the problems, or make sure your vote will be counted? I used the old manual machines this time.

We both voted today also. Just heard on wftm that only 50% of registered voters voted today!! What's up with that? I can't imagine being registered to vote and not getting out to go.
