The County Judge/Executive is one of the most important positions that a local person can elected. This is the one position that can directly effects our everyday life, more so than possibly the President of the United States and or the Governor of the State of Kentucky.
Place your vote and state why you would like to see this person as Mason County Judge/Executive .
No commenting on another persons opinion and no bad talk about another candidate. Please state why you are voting for the person you like best for the office. Open Discussion can be done here. Not in this thread. http://www.maysvillekybbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6442

Judge Buddy Gallenstine has been an excellent County Judge. He takes his work and the responsibilities of the office very seriously. In addition, he is a very good person. He gets my vote.

My vote is for Larry Chamblin. It is time we get some new people in the county to take care of business and I think Larry will do an excellent job :o

Come on! Are you paying attention? When someone has done an excellent job for Mason County for the past 12+ years, why would you want to replace them? Do you even know Judge Gallenstein? If you did, you would vote for him. He is the only one qualified for this position. He has advanced this county in a very short amount of time. Judge Gallenstein will get my vote, and the vote of informed citizens.

I can honestly say that they don't come any better than James L. "Buddy" Gallenstein.... Each and every resident of Mason County is important to him.

You haven't said what you think he will do that will make a difference. Everyone I've talked to hasn't heard anything from him at all. A debate would be great. I'd love to hear how he's going to resolve the jail issues, how he's going to pay for the roads, how he's going to expand the infrastructure, and how he is going to balance the budget. These are all requirements of a county judge. He also needs a good working relationship with other state wide officials. If he can't even get out and meet his constituents, how does he propose to accomplish all the responsibilities of a county judge?

Well I was there tonight, and you know what? Chamblin didn't even show up. But what Buddy had to say was good. I don't know why he was not there, and I am not knocking him for not showing up, but it does make one wonder.

I have known Judge Buddy Gallenstein my whole life and I think he is one of the best things to happen to Mason County in years. He has led this county into the 21st century with dignity, humor and a sense of responsibility toward all of our citizens. We can't do any better than 4 more years with Buddy at the helm.

Who is Chamblin? What does he do for a living? What qulitfies him for a job like the County Judge. He should at least come forth and make himself known to the piblic if he wants the job.

I think if a formidable canidate would run and be in the public eye more, then I wouldn't say Buddy would never lose. The fact that his running mate is not in the public, chooses not to go to any functions where the public is there and other canidates are as well, he won't come close to winning. Everyone likes change, so if the running mate was to be someone different, then maybe a change would take place in the seat, but we have never known that before.

What about Ann Porter? She ran against Judge Gallenstein his second term. She has been well known in the public for 30+ years. You are correct in that you can never say never, but Buddy Gallenstein's reputation and past performance is what gets him reelected. If an elected official is doing their job, and working hard for their community, they will continue to get reelected. It would be extremely hard to beat Judge Gallenstein. He's that good!

Ahhh, but there is a big difference in the sheriff race. I heard very little out of Wenz in the race, however, Boggs came out running & spoke often on what he will do as sheriff.
If the opposition in this race spoke out as loudly as Boggs did in his race, things maybe different. As it stands, Buddy will probably stay right where he is............see ya mark
