I don't know if very many read the paper the first of the week, but there is a hearing going on as I write for a Suit against a local Doctor for Negligance for the death of Donald Bellamy 2 years ago. This family man was my brother-in-law, and I am praying for his widow and son and our whole family that justice will prevail and everyone in Maysville will pick and choose who they get to trust to help them. I know we never know and anything can go wrong with any procedures we may have done. But Donnie should not of died. So please, if anyone knows of the trial going on, please pray for Peggy his wife and son Willie, and all that loved him. He was a wonderful man. I will sign my first name to this post.
God Bless
Patty

For those that missed the story, here is a link to the article.
Attempts to contact Shotwell and OVH for comment were unsuccessful.
A lawsuit tells only one side of a legal dispute.

I too went thru the pain and agony of a mistake being made with this procedure. I could barely walk. I couldn't straighten up and I was purple from my waist down to my knees. I was this way for a week before my heart doctor in Lexington saw me and told me what was wrong. He repaired my artery that same day. TWO trips to the local ER I was told it was nothing to worry about!!! I also had a heart bypass at the same time. I was advised by many people to sue the person that did this to me but, I was grateful that my condition was discovered and did lead to me being repaired, so I chose not to. Of course when death is the result then that is different.
In all fairness the ER did not notify the Doctor (not Dr. Shotwell) that did the procedure so he did not know the shape I was in. Although I did have to spend a night in the hospital because I was complaining about pain after the heart cath. Turns out I bled for several days. I was very lucky. I am very sorry about your loss.

Thank You, and thank God you survived. It has not been put in the paper yet, but the trial turned out to be a mistrial. They will be another one soon.
