Does Walmart own Lowes

I've hearf more many years that this is secretly true. Can't find any information to support or dispute. I do think that SEC require all businesses to state their holdings. Couldn't see how this could be a secret for long.

It is not true. Both stocks are trade separately. Both have different CEO's and Board Members. WalMart is a private stock while Lowes is traded publicly.

The only loophole is if some stock from one is owned by another. Not really easy to find information.

All and all I must say no.

I heard from an employee at Lowes that Walmart owns all the land and Lowes and the other stores buy their lots off of them. I dont know if this is true, Just what i heard.

This rumor was printed a year or so ago in the Detroit Free Press and since has taken on a life of its own
