NEW WEB SITE LAUNCHED TO HELP CITIZENS PREPARE FOR EMERGENCIES
The website (www.ProtectYourFamily.ky.gov) will be publicized by a statewide public service campaign to encourage Kentuckians to prepare for emergencies..
The publicity campaign is scheduled to run for three months and will utilize over 17,000 radio commercials and 168 billboard ads.
80 percent of Americans agreed taking some simple steps to prepare could help protect themselves and their families in the event of an emergency.
58 percent had assembled an emergency supply kit, developed a family emergency plan or learned more about potential threats, the three steps recommended.
Are you ready?
Is your camera phone and laptop battery charged up?
One thing we have learned from past disasters, is community web sites like this one become very important by keeping citizens informed with information and photos of events as they occur.
Keep your "panic button" next to your "easy button" for quick recovery.
