Has anyone used this yet? I have installed it on a few different machines just to play with it.
Pretty much the same "wow" factor comparing this to my first look at XP from using 98SE.
I know one thing, you better have one heck of a machine to run it well, minimum specs are, 2Ghz processor, 512Mb RAM, and 20Gb hard drive space available.
I can say this, if it wasnt for my games not running on it, I would still be using Vista and the Office 2007 beta.
The integration of the graphics card into the OS is really cool to me. It used to be, a graphics card with more than 128Mb of on-board memory didnt have much purpose. (I have an Nvidia 6600GT with 512Mb)
People, like me, who have 256Mb or more graphics memory will see an improvement immediately.
It seemed to run well too, I tried to overload it by opening all the programs I could, didnt seem to phase it at all.
Unfortunately, most people will not meet the minimum requirements, so system builders, start stocking up now on upgrades!
If anyone needs help setting it up or finding drivers, feel free to PM or page me and I will do all I can to help you!
