View Full Version : U.S. 68 - Heavy Traffic

Caution is advised on Highway 68 this morning as traffic will be extremely heavy.

Maysville businesses are also expecting a slow day as our city becomes a ghost town of sorts.

Maysville Mayor David Cartmell issues a proclamation that says "Mason County Rules!" because the Royals are going to the Sweet Sixteen.

Former star Allen Feldhaus Jr. has coached Madison Central to the tournament, former assistant Mark Starns has guided Johnson Central to Rupp Arena and former star Chris Lofton has led Tennessee to the NCAA Tournament.

Listen to all the games on WFTM and follow the stories and videos on the Maysville BBS. (Bulletin Board Service)

Louisville Coach Rick Pitino, worried that his Cardinals' National Invitation Tournament opener in Freedom Hall Friday night won't draw a crowd, asks the KHSAA if the game can be played in Rupp Arena between the Sweet Sixteen quarterfinals Friday afternoon and evening.

Mason County's Darius Miller, a promising 6-foot-6 sophomore, finds a box of chocolates and an autographed photo of Chris Lofton in his locker before the Royals' state tournament opener. Tennessee Coach Bruce Pearl's fingerprints are all over the gifts.

There are also an awful lot of leaves on the trees for March 16th in Maysville.
