The Mason County Relay For Life "chair update" meeting was held today at the Mason County Extension Office.
Anna Hehman, Community Representative for the American Cancer Society, from Florence, Ky. congratulated the Mason County chairpersons on their great work.
Highlights of the local efforts included Kim Sparks report on the Kick-Off event which was a huge success, and Tina Baker's report on entertainment being planned for this year's Relay For Life.
So far 14 teams have signed up, the total number should exceed last years event. Now is the time to get your team involved!
Last year, the Mason County Relay for Life boasted about 25 teams, and Sparks said she would love to see that number jump to 40, or even more.
This years event will be the best ever according to Tina Baker.
