Roberta Gaffin Burrows
Maysville – Roberta Gaffin Burrows, 82, of West Second Street, Maysville, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2006 at her residence after a long illness.
Mrs. Burrows was born in Russellville, Ohio on October 13, 1923 to the late George and Clara Downing Gaffin. Roberta was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, and was a retired sales clerk for Kline’s Department Store, Maysville. She also had worked at Merz Brothers Department Store, Maysville, Mike Brown’s Hardware Store, Maysville and Wright Patterson Air Force Base Dayton, OH during WWII.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, John T. Burrows; two sons John D. (Alice) Burrows of Russellville, Ohio and Craig Burrows of Maysville; three grandsons, John Thomas Burrows, Jason Burrows, and Christopher (Sarah) Burrows; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Burrows; two great-granddaughters, Grace and Jasta Burrows; one great-grandson Blaise Burrows and one sister Hazel Pindell, of Ash Ridge, Ohio. Two brothers, George and Oscar Gaffin and three sisters, Gladys Lawson, Alma Francis, and Lola Kirk preceded her in death.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2006 at St. Patrick’s Church. Burial will follow in the St. Patrick Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Brell & Son Funeral Home with Rosary at 7:30.
