Maysville - Evelyn Davis, 85, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at University of Kentucky Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mrs. Davis was born October 25, 1920 in Maysville to the late Thomas Christopher and Norma Buckley Moore. A graduate of St. Patrick’s School, she was a 13-year employee of the late Dr. J.E. McKinney working as his receptionist and was a deputy clerk for Frances Cotterill for 20 years until her retirement.
Surviving are a daughter Christy (Steve) Nester of Ft. Meyers Florida, a son John B. (Winnie) Davis of Maysville, three granddaughters, Lauri Muse, Bridget Perry, and Stephanie Nester, one grandson, Chris Davis and six great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial for Evelyn Davis will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 27, at St. Patrick’s Church with Rev. James L. McHugh officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Patrick Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday with Rosary at 7:30.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Brannen, Steve Wheatley, Tony Wenz, Dr. Tim Grosser, Ben Breslin, and Mike Walton.
Donnie Lowe, Billy Caudill, Frances Cotterill, Doug Culp, and Charlie Wenz will serve as honorary pallbearers.
