Maysville – Marguerite G. Hardy, 70, of Lexington Street Extension, Maysville, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at Brown County General Hospital. She was the wife of Claude Hardy.
Mrs. Hardy was born on August 8, 1935 in Maysville to the late Lafe and Edith Ferguson Greenlee. She was a retired secretary for the Carnation Can Company where she worked for thirty years and was a 1953 graduate of Maysville High School
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, James Michael (Myra) Hardy of Aberdeen, and David (Tammy) Hardy of Iowa; three daughters, Claudia (Gary T.) Greene of Maysville, Rita Joann Hardy of Cold Spring, Kentucky, and Edie (Gary) Hampton of Bethel, Ohio; ten grandchildren, Gary L. Greene, Erica Greene, Jason Horsley, Chris Hardy, Mindi Conley, Jenna Hardy, Maggie Hardy, Crystal King, Brandi Hampton, and Penny Rigdon; thirteen great grandchildren, Whitney Greene, Leah Greene, Kaden Greene, Iyanna Johns, Mantez Johns, Keshawn Thomas, Dakoda Hardy, Veronica Blanchard, Jacob Blanchard, Wyatt Conley, Dennis Rigdon, Bethany Rigdon and Angel Rigdon; a sister-in-law, Catherine Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Villani and a brother, Robert (Alvin) Mitchell.
Services for Margueite Hardy will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Brell & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. James T. Manning officiating. Burial will follow in the Charleston Bottoms Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 pm on Friday.
