Law enforcement officers from 11 agencies across Kentucky graduated today from the Department of Criminal Justice Training’s Law Enforcement Basic Training Academy.

The 17-member class underwent 16 weeks of training, which consisted of more than 660 hours of recruit-level officer academy instruction. Major training areas include law offenses and procedures, vehicle operations, firearms, investigation, first aid/CPR, patrol procedures and mechanics of arrest, restraint and control.

Jayson L. Flynn, Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office

Raymond A. Golden, Springfield Police Department

Darren C. Grogan, Murray Police Department

Matthew C. Humble, Russellville Police Department

James A. Medley II, Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement

Steven L. Oliver, Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement

I would love to see more women on the department. It seems though, that there just aren't many who want to go into law enforcement.
