Governor Ernie Fletcher and Jay Poole to Address Agricultural Community at Agricultural Development Fund Annual Meeting
The 2006 Kentucky Agricultural Development Fund Annual Meeting will be held on Friday, February 10, 2006 at the Louisville Marriot East. This is an opportunity for County Council members, Program Administrators, Extension Agents, and anyone involved in the agriculture industry to discover entrepreneurship in agriculture, experience Kentucky Proud products, share ideas with others from across the Commonwealth, as well as learn of new Board policies and programs. Breakouts will focus on program administration, project development, and entrepreneurship.
The Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy is pleased to announce Governor Ernie Fletcher will be the special guest speaker, sharing his vision for agriculture in the Commonwealth at the Awards Luncheon which will begin at 12:30 PM EST. There, Governor Fletcher will be presenting the awards for: Innovations in Agriculture, Program Administrator of the Year, Extension Agent of the Year, and County Council Members of the Year.
Jay Poole will be the keynote speaker during the opening session. Mr. Poole brings with him thirty years of experience in government relations, communications strategies, and strategic planning during a varied and extensive career in the Corporate Affairs department of Altria (formerly Philip Morris Companies Inc.). The opening session will begin promptly at 9:00 AM EST.
