Maysville – Ruby Hornback Henderson, 89, of Court Street in Mt. Olivet, died Monday January 30, 2006 at Bracken County Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mrs. Henderson was born on July 7, 1916, in Robertson County to the late Elmer and Roxie Collins Hornback. She was a self-employed housekeeper who also cleaned for the Integra Bank in Mt. Olivet. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Mt. Olivet.
Surviving are seven granddaughters Kay (Barry) Fields of Maysville, Delores (Leroy) Applegate of Missouri, Melinda Lee Henderson and Linnette Faye Linville both of Robertson County, Carol Lynn Collins of Augusta, Terri Darnell of Mays Lick, and Gloria (Pat) Hammal of New York; three grandsons, Roy “Bo” (Darlene) Henderson, Jr. of Tennessee, James E. Henderson of Maysville, and Eddie Ray Henderson, of Robertson County; one sister, Frances Kabler of Maysville; one daughter-in-law, Dasie Henderson, of Mt. Olivet; 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Two sons, Roy Henderson and Jimmy Henderson preceded her in death.
Services for Ruby Henderson will be held Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church of Mt. Olivet with the Bro. D. Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Barry Fields, Troy Cummins, Brian Odom, James Henderson, Eddie Henderson, Jason Henderson, and Brandon Coy.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Road, Maysville, KY 41056, or the Mt Olivet First Christian Church.
