The Maysville Community and Technical College was approved for $124,800 in state funds to address the lack of technical skills among farmers in the areas of welding and diesel maintenance.

The Kentucky Agricultural Development Board, chaired by Governor Ernie Fletcher, approved $1,714,138 in agricultural diversification projects across the Commonwealth during their monthly Board Meeting on January 20, 2006 at the Franklin County Cooperative Extension Office in Frankfort, Kentucky.

Now there is a serious Grant I can support. I wish they would expand that to include to technology for them as well.

Information is the key to growing better crops in the future.

As farm equipment becomes more expensive and farm income decreases, it looks like duct tape, fence wire and and fuel aditives are not enough anymore.

Let's hope the farmers can make use of this program to keep their equipment running longer.

A new GPS system in the ol' John Deere is a waste if you can't start your tractor and the welds keep breaking on the cheap China made implements being sold now-a-days.
