.........WASHINGTON (AP) - The Supreme Court on Tuesday blocked the Bush administration's attempt to punish doctors who help terminally ill patients die, protecting Oregon's one-of-a-kind assisted-suicide law.

Looks like the asssisted suicides will continue & possibly start up in other states.

I don't know if assisted suicides should have the government's stamp of approval or not. All I know is that when it is my time to go, I could really care less whether the government approves it. That said, the really interesting thing I find here is that it seems that the newly installed Supreme Court isn't simply folding along party lines. That's very interesting, and good news.

Well...what more of a way to thin out the population...then to make something like this legal....now I am ticked, they think they are God now????...Mark my words...this will get out of hand.

I think Govt. involvement in this is wrong. I really believe you should be terminally ill before you can have a say. Walk a mile in their shoes then you can choose.

I personally don't want to be the one that votes for my neighbor to suffer a slow and painful death.

To me, this strikes me as nothing more than the government trying to control people’s lives. Some people choose to fight to the bitter end. Some get tired of fighting. It’s a personal decision no one wants to be in. But when the time comes, it’s THEIR decision. No one else’s.

THIS we are in total agreement in. The main problem I have with this one is........who judges as to who dies or not?? I realize it's voluntary now, but we all know that will change. When it does, will someone with a hangnail be eligible??

Gov't should stay out of it...............see ya mark
