Election time is here, today, now..................

Many people in the Maysville/Mason County area are well qualified to run for office.

Now is the time to take your good and honest ideas public.

Run for office!

Even if you don't win, you have done a great service for the area.

"There is no dishonor in losing," Retired Judge Robert I. Gallenstein said. "If you're considering, and if you think you have something to offer the general public, you should file."

Simply by joining the race, a candidate can bring to light some of their major concerns and raise issues they consider important.

Thanks for voting me in Foxy, but I would probably get assassinated, lol. First thing I would do is divert some of these "funds" into our humane society, then I would make the gas prices stay at a constant and low price in our city!! Yeah, I wouldn't last long, lol. Oh, I cuss too much too, my profanity is almost an art form. :)

Well fine. I would run, but there are so many offices to choose from, how could I pick. Anyone in BBS know how much it would cost out of pocket to run for office? Those here that know me, can prolly guess that I would love to be in office, but I dare say that I know I would "rock the boat" and in this small town, they would probably no longer allow me to speak.

Hmmm... I would probably run except that I have the sneaky suspicion that those who really run the show, and get their agendas out front, don't hold the public offices. Where do I sign up to be that guy?

i still remember the days when a feller could get a half pint if he was standing on the street close to the polls.............

my poor brother used to promise every candidate he would vote for them, then have a grand old poker party that night with several half pints........
