MAY’S LICK Mamie Emmons Duncan, 68 of May’s Lick died Monday January 9, 2006 as the result of an automobile accident in Flemingsburg. She was a retired dietician at Meadowview Regional Medical Center and currently was employed by Pioneer Trace Nursing Home at Flemingsburg. She the widow of Kenneth Duncan whose death occurred on March 12, 2000.

Mrs. Duncan was born in Fleming County on December 12, 1937 daughter of the late Harley & June Sivis Emmons. She was a member of May’s Lick Baptist Church and Meadowview Senior Friends.

Survivors include six children, Dinah Sue (David) Thomas of May’s Lick; Ronnie E. (Michelle) Duncan of Burlington; John Mark (Angee) Duncan and Janet K. (Mark) Bickley both of Maysville; Gregory Allen Duncan of May’s Lick and Kimberly Beth Duncan of Falmouth. 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. 1 brother, George Emmons of Bath County and 2 sisters, Connie Frederick of Painesville, OH and Ginny Banta of May’s Lick. Serveral nieces & nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, John Robert Emmons and Ronnie Emmons.

Services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Thursday at Palmer Funeral Home in May’s Lick with the Rev. David C. Cheek officiating. Interment will follow in the May’s Lick Cemetery. Visitation 6-9 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
